BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg department of athletics announced a renewed partnership with Game Plan because of the generous support of Bloomsburg alumnus, Tim and Carol Wagner ('74). The Huskies will have access to the most widely used education and student-athlete development platform for high school, collegiate, and professional athletics departments to support the holistic student-athlete model set in place for collegiate athletics.
Through this partnership, every student-athlete at Bloomsburg will have access to over 60 innovative eLearning and personality assessments explicitly designed for the modern athlete. The eLearning courses will provide education and information on relevant topics around academic success, career and professional development, brand-building, diet and wellness, financial literacy, healthy relationships, social justice, and more. The interactive modules will help student-athletes, coaches, and administrators develop awareness and resources in the ever-changing environment of college athletics.
"We are excited to reestablish our partnership with Game Plan and bring exceptional educational programs to all of our student-athletes" added Dr. Michael McFarland. "Game Plan provides an opportunity for our student-athletes to experience an interactive way of learning about relevant and important topics. Game Plan will allow us to offer a full range of educational programming for our Division I wrestlers and all our student-athletes as the NCAA adopts a holistic approach for its student-athletes."
Speaking on the partnership with Bloomsburg, Ted White, Vice President of CollegiatePartnerships at Game Plan stated, "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to play a role in helping student-athletes at Bloomsburg maximize their experience and reach their full potential. Dr. McFarland and his team are innovators and we are really looking forward to getting creative with them to deliver best-in-class educational programming together."
