At Game Plan, our mission is clear: “Support 100% of Athletes Across 100% of Their Journey.” One indicator of success towards that mission has always been user activity inside the Game Plan platform. 2017 brought tremendous growth but the statistics in 2018 have been truly historic for Game Plan.
Overall, we have seen a combined 5x growth in usage numbers in the following categories:
- eLearning Modules Completed
- Platform Logins
- Mentors Added
- Mentor – Mentee Connections
- Job Applications
While all of these numbers have been incredibly impressive, we would like to highlight a few in this post:
Our growth in completed eLearning modules in the last 2 years has been tremendous. We attribute the growth mainly to the update of our eLearning content and design (Summer 2017), the introduction of our 12 Month Customer Success Guidebook (Summer 2018), the addition of valuable expert eLearning content, and the tremendous work of our athletic department customers on their campuses.
The impact of the addition of our comprehensive curriculum on Sexual Violence Prevention and Healthy Relationships can also not be overstated. In partnering with the One Love Foundation and Kalimah Johnson, we were able to bring industry-leading content to athletes across the country and the usage numbers in the first year have been outstanding.
In the upcoming months more expert eLearning content will be introduced to the platform, including topics such as Nutrition, Health and Wellness, Gambling and more.
In January we introduced our 2018 Race that combines all activity in the platform into a ranking among all athletic department customers. The final standings for 2018 were:
We have received a lot of positive feedback regarding the race rankings from our athletic department customers and have seen a tremendous growth in activity since introducing the competition. The top 3 athletic departments will receive a Game Plan prize in January 2019, and the Race for 2019 will begin.
This growth could not be possible without the tremendous work our partners do with their athletes through Game Plan. Our case study page highlights the tremendous work of some of our partners and we will continually add to this page to provide best practices and examples from around the country.
We would like to give an honorable mention to UNC Greensboro’s athletic department which hosted Game Plan Day on their campus on November 19th. The activity on November 19th generated from UNC Greensboro was tremendous and we were so proud to see student-athletes engaged and excited throughout the day.
