Game Plan and the Big South Partner to Create League-Wide Career Network

By December 14, 2016 December 15th, 2016 2 Comments

Today, we are thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Big South Conference. Through this arrangement, Game Plan and the Big South will create the first-of-its-kind, league-wide student-athlete career network.

The Big South will provide Game Plan’s innovative student-athlete development software to its member institutions—enhancing current resources on campus to provide comprehensive student-athlete development. These tools include Game Plan’s eLearning courses, assessment instruments, and Game Plan’s Career Marketplace. A key aspect of this partnership is each institution’s ability to incorporate Game Plan uniquely into their athletic department culture and student-athlete experience.

“A key focus of the Big South Strategic Plan is the student-athlete experience, and what we have heard loud and clear from our student-athletes, in addition to an outstanding athletic experience, is the enhanced opportunity for career placement upon graduation.”

– Kyle Kallander, Big South Commissioner

At a conference level, the Big South will use Game Plan’s Career Marketplace to increase the overall number of internship and job opportunities available to its student-athletes to create a large, diversified, on-demand career network for its student-athletes.

As many know, student-athletes have an outstanding track record of performance in the workforce. The Big South has found that in addition to the value of traditional brand development, its sponsors place a premium on the ability to recruit student-athletes. By connecting sponsorship with recruiting, the Big South enhances the value of its partnerships while benefiting its student-athletes. Current Big South partner Sharp Business Systems will be a presenting sponsor of the new initiative.

By uniting at a conference level, Game Plan easily joins forces with each of the member schools in the Big South as they pool resources to provide student-athletes with enhanced career opportunities and outcomes.

We’re excited to welcome the Big South and all of its member institutions to the Game Plan family!

Hello! I am currently the student-athlete development coordinator at Liberty University. As I am exploring your website following the announcement of the new Big South partnership, I do not see the link to an App for cellphones/ipads. Is this available? Also, will you be sending demo’s to each university to share how to use the software? Thanks for the info.

Hey Jordan! Our mobile app will be available during the first quarter of 2017. We will be happy to schedule a demo when the app goes live. I will have someone from out customer success team reach out to you!
