Coastal Carolina Football has not only hit 2020 running with a record setting start but they have done it in incredible fashion. Ranked in the top 25 poll for the first time in school history, the Chanticleers have made waves in more that just their play on the field. The team has been putting on a show, not only on the sideline but through the constant content they have been producing. Coastal Carolina is doing everything they can to not only maximize on exposure during a great season but to show recruits why they should #BallAtTheBeach in Conway, SC. Colton Korn, a former standout wide receiver at Charleston Southern, has entered his role as Coordinator of Player Personnel with one single mission. Bring the energy.
“Gameday is when I can relax and really have fun. I try to keep the energy up on the sidelines (partly because my adrenaline is pumping like I am still playing). Anything the coaches need assisted with or need me to go do, I do it. No role is too small.”
Coastal Carolina has done an amazing job not only getting their players to buy into the team but to help create a culture where recruits want to play. Colton stresses that he’s blessed to be in the position he is in and if someone wants to be in his shoes one day that they must see no role being too small.
“Work relentlessly. There is no role too big or too small. The more you can do, the more valuable you are.”
It takes a lot of hard work to be in the spot Colton is in, but he wants to stress that no matter the position he holds in the sports industry he’ll alway reach back to help those starting out.
“ Don’t ever think you are too good to respond to an email or a DM. Be good to people, it takes one person to know somebody for you to get a shot. The world is smaller than you think.”
We look forward to shining a light on the Athletic Administrators, Coaches and support staff that help put Student-Athletes first through these difficult times.
