This winter, the University of Oklahoma renewed its partnership with Game Plan to best prepare and develop Sooner athletes for their life on and off the playing field.
Oklahoma Athletics utilizes the platform to provide education to allow their students to earn the Sooner Success Academic Award, which is the annual Alston funding available to eligible Sooner athletes. As part of this program, students receive education in several areas including financial literacy and preparing for life after sport.
“The Game Plan platform has proven to be a great resource for our university and student-athletes. With the ease of use and access, student-athletes are able to utilize Game Plan content when it works best for their schedule. With all that athletes have to juggle in their day-to-day lives, this makes the platform incredibly valuable for all our student-athletes.”
In addition, to help enhance the student-athlete experience, Oklahoma Athletics will engage their student-athletes with custom courses provided through Game Plan. The platform will also be branded on the web and mobile app to create a unique OU Athletics experience for the students. Through these tools offered on Game Plan, Oklahoma Athletics will be able to continue the development of their student-athletes, staff, and coaches.
Speaking on the partnership with Oklahoma, Ted White, Vice President of Collegiate Partnerships at Game Plan stated: “The University of Oklahoma has long been at the forefront of student-athlete development, so we’re grateful to Mike Meade and his team for allowing us to help deliver creative, comprehensive, and meaningful programming in this exciting new environment.”
Game Plan is looking forward to the continued partnership with Oklahoma Athletics and can’t wait to see what’s to come for them as a partner.
