Game Plan has added two new intern members to help out the Athletic Organizations team! Throughout their internship, Margarita and Derek will assist the Game Plan Athletic Organizations team with various projects related to Game Plan’s partnership in the Pro, College, and Youth sport space.
Margarita Corona
Currently serving at Oklahoma State University as the Student-Athlete Development Coordinator, Margarita is a proud McLendon Future Leader. Following her collegiate athletic career, Margarita stuck around Stephen F. Austin State University to obtain her Masters while serving as a graduate assistant. In the rookie seasons of her career, Corona has diverse experience as she has championed student-athlete development initiatives as well as coordinated game day operations at the mid-major as well as power 5 level.
Derek Ayala
Derek joins us after graduating from the University of Oklahoma, where he obtained bachelor’s degrees in Sports Management and Marketing. While at OU, he assisted the football team, starting as an on-campus recruiting assistant and working his way up to becoming a coach’s recruiting assistant. Derek joins Game Plan wanting to bring the service directly to more coaches to help the development of student-athletes.
