"Game Plan has taken pressure off of our staff by streamlining how we reach our athletes. It has made it easy to provide the resources and development that our athletes need while also saving us time and resources."
Associate Athletic Director, Pace University
Pace University utilized Game Plan to give their athletes appropriate education in a flexible and effective manner. The topics covered are timed to coincide with key events in the student-athlete journey. Pace Athletics covers important topics such as alcohol education which is provided before winter & spring break, sports wagering addressed in March, & mental health is focused on prior to the start of the competition seasons.
The interactive content enhances understanding for the Pace athletes. Engaging with the courses in real-time keeps athletes focused and creates an enjoyable learning experience. Claudia Stabile, Pace University’s Associate Athletic Director stated, “The wide variety of topics has allowed us to reach our athletes on the topics that are important to them while allowing them the flexibility to learn on their own schedule”.
Pace adheres to the NCAA-required mandatory education topics, and Game Plan provides an efficient platform for athletes to receive this education. Athletes have one course to complete per month throughout the academic year which allows Pace to use topics in all areas like Mental Health, DEI, Healthy Relationships, Sports Wagering, and Alcohol and Substance Use Education.
By utilizing Game Plan, Pace University is able to streamline how they reach their athletes, which takes pressure off of their staff to cover so many topic areas. By completing eLearning courses through Game Plan, the staff is able to track athletes’ progress in real-time and easily report on completions which can be shared with coaches and other personnel within the Athletics program.
Overall, by providing easily accessible support to athletes, Game Plan has become a great asset for Pace University. Stabiles states, “Game Plan has taken pressure off of our staff by streamlining how we reach our athletes. It has made it easy to provide the resources and development that our athletes need while also saving us time and resources.”
