Before partnering with Game Plan, they found that many of the speaking events and in-person workshops they organized for student-athletes were poorly attended. As a result, many student-athletes missed out on developmental programming due to the rigorous demands on their time.
Radford's goal was to give their student-athletes access to a broad range of developmental content online in a format that gives them more flexibility to complete assignments in their own time.
Since partnering with Game Plan, Radford has been able to offer a wider variety of developmental programming online. As a result, a larger number of their student-athletes are able to participate in educational opportunities related to academic and professional development.
With Game Plan's reporting tools, the athletics department can now easily track assignment completion to hold student-athletes accountable and measure their performance.
The Radford Athletics Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) program was implemented at Radford University with the purpose of supporting student development initiatives and to enhance the quality of the student-athlete experience within the university setting.
